・Shinjuku West Exit Area
The largest skyscrapers in Japan are seen from the alley.
・Omoide Yokocho
This is a retro eating and drinking district lined with small izakaya (Japanese style pubs). You can enjoy the old-fashioned atmosphere with its narrow alleys and lanterns.
・Isetan Department Store Basement
This is the main branch of the long-established department store that opened in 1931. It is Japan's largest sales department and a trendsetter. The huge food floor in the basement is a specialty of the department store.
・Hanazono Shrine
Hanazono Shrine is a historic shrine in Shinjuku, known as a guardian deity of business and entertainment. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is a place where visitors can enjoy a quiet visit.
・Kabukicho
Kabukicho is Japan's largest entertainment district in Shinjuku, where you can enjoy nightlife and entertainment. It is lined with bars, restaurants, and clubs, and features a neon-lit nightscape.
・Godzilla Head
A giant statue of Godzilla's head has become a symbol of Kabukicho. Located on the 8th floor of the Toho Building, Godzilla's eyes and mouth light up and his roar echoes through the air.
・Kabukicho Tower
The free observation deck on the 17th floor offers a 180-degree view of Shinjuku. Visitors can view art works by Daido Moriyama, Yujio Shinohara, and more.
・Golden Gai
It is a drinking district with over 280 small bars and eateries clustered in a small area, and the town retains a strong postwar Japanese atmosphere. It is one of Tokyo's centers of subculture and underground art. Compared to the bustling Kabukicho, you can enjoy drinking in a more relaxed atmosphere.
