Strength 1: As a group company, TJT has the largest organization of tour guides in Japan.

As a group company, TJT has Japan's largest organization of guide interpreters, the Institute for Japanese Culture Experience Exchange (IJCEE), to ensure we have the guides we need.

IJCEE is Japan's largest organization of guide interpreters, with over 1,000 members constantly improving their guide skills.

Our members are diverse, and we have the right people in the right places.

Its seven characteristics are

1) English interpreter guides are the most numerous, with over 800. There are guides for languages other than English, French, Spanish, Chinese, German, Italian, etc.

2) Specialists in cooking, tea ceremony, origami, calligraphy, flower arranging, sake, Japanese tea, etc.

The leaders of each department have professorships or other certifications in their respective schools. In addition, these leaders provide education and training, and train and mentor other staff members.

4) Interpreter It conducts beginner, intermediate and advanced schools in interpreting and certifies interpreters.

We also provide training for medical interpreters, allowing the elderly and disabled to travel with peace of mind.

5) Many residents live in regional cities other than major metropolitan areas such as Tokyo and Osaka.

In providing guides for cruise ships, we have sent guides to more than 20 ports throughout Japan.

6) Group tour guides

IJCEE emphasizes the ability to speak about Japanese culture and the ability as a tour guide to lead a group and keep the tour schedule safely. TJT is also a Japanese government-approved training organization for tour operators called Itinerary Management Supervisors, which allows tour operators to be qualified and registered as foreign-language tour operators without being certified as tour guides.

7) There is also an interpreter guide certification school called True Japan School (TJS).

Every year, about 500 people in Japan pass the national examination to become an interpreter guide, and about 20% of them are TJS students.

The above has enabled us to ensure an absolute supply of guides and cultural instructors who can convey the essence of Japanese culture in English at any time, which is why major Japanese travel agencies have used True Japan Tour.
