On this tour, you’ll explore the historic sumo district of Ryogoku on foot with an English-speaking guide, followed by a visit to the Kokugikan Sumo Hall.
At the Kokugikan, your guide will sit next to you and provide live commentary on the matches, along with insights into the rich traditions and fascinating world of sumo.
With real-time explanations, you’ll gain a much deeper appreciation and enjoyment of the tournament.

Tickets will be available on the True Japan Tour website starting August 11.

*We will pick you up at your hotel.
Pick-up time will be about 40〜60minutes before the activity time.
*The starting time of the tour depends on the sumo stable being visited.
In most cases, the tour begins between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m.
*Please note that once inside the sumo stable, guests are not permitted to leave their seats until the practice session has concluded.

If you cancel your reservation, the following cancellation rates and remittance charge will be charged.
(1) 14 days - 3 days prior to the program date: 20 % of the program fee
(2) 2 days of the day before the program date: 50 % of the program fee
(3) a day before the program date: 100 % of the program fee
