I really enjoyed this tour. Exploring the area around Tokyo Tower at night was a highlight, especially discovering hidden paths and new angles of the tower. We learned many interesting facts, but what stuck with me most was hearing that you could actually walk to Kyoto in about two weeks. Our guide was both knowledgeable and funny, making the experience even more enjoyable.
I would have loved to spend a bit more time exploring Zojoji Temple along the way. We then visited the main observation deck of Tokyo Tower, where you can catch a beautiful sunset if the weather is clear—though the view is stunning at any time.
Afterward, we enjoyed a sake tasting featuring three distinctly different varieties, accompanied by light snacks. For those who don’t drink alcohol, there’s the option of green tea and traditional sweets instead. The sake and food were both excellent.
Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable tour.Would everyone recommend to join.
The tour is well-organized and the tour guide is very knowledgeable and good at introducing things. You experience both morden and historical scenery at the same time while enjoying delicious sake/tea. The sake/tea tasting was also quite informative.
This was a short but lovely tour—it was a truly enjoyable and thoughtfully led and the overall flow was smooth and well-timed. Wakako-san was a fantastic guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging—bringing cultural and historical context to life in a meaningful way. The tour included introduction of hidden gems such as photo spots and sites that were not too crowded which is well appreciated. The flow of the tour, which slowly approaches towards the Tokyo Tower was well thought of.
Tip: if you are coming in summer wear comfortable clothes and bring proper hydration since it is a walking tour!
That said, the guide made sure we took hydration breaks.
Afterwards we proceeded to the sake tasting nearby. The ambiance of the place felt private (I believe outsiders cannot easily enter this building).
The sake tasting was a great addition to the walking tour, with some rare sake varieties that paired really well with the provided desserts.
Everything felt well-paced, and the group size made the experience relaxed and personal. Overall, I had a great time!
I recommend this to people who want shorter tours, enjoy sunsets, a good photo spot, trying new kinds of food and drinks, and learning cultural and historical sides of Japan.
Thank you very much to the tour team!
I joined this tour led by the most hilarious and charming local guide, walking from the station all the way to Tokyo Tower—and what an unforgettable journey through time it was.
This wasn’t one of those typical sightseeing tours. It felt like a walk through history where every corner had a story to tell—some rooted in fact, others in legend, but all incredibly fun and vivid. The buildings we passed weren’t just scenery—they were storytellers. At one point, the guide pointed to what I would’ve thought was just an old building and said, “That used to be the residence of a powerful samurai lord.” Without her, I would’ve walked right past it!
We also strolled through a lively izakaya, and the guide joked that this was the modern-day battlefield where Tokyo’s “samurai” (office workers) drink, negotiate, and unwind. It really did feel like we were traveling between the worlds of feudal Japan and modern Tokyo.
Then came Tokyo Tower—and it completely blew me away. When we arrived, the sky was still bright, but by the time we reached the main deck, the sun was setting, and the city slowly lit up beneath us. The skyline shifted from golden hues to deep navy, with the lights flickering on like magic. It was one of those rare, quiet moments where you just stand in awe.
After that, we relaxed in a beautiful tea room near the tower. A certified sake master introduced us to three totally different types of sake, each with its own character. I don’t usually drink, but I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed them—especially paired with little bites he recommended. And the final treat? A sake-infused ice cream dessert that tasted like an afogato’s grown-up, cooler cousin. Pure joy.
Thank you for such a special experience. It wasn’t just a tour—it was a memory I’ll carry with me for a long, long time.
