【Itinerary】

Day 1: JR Nakatsugawa Station (meet) - Naegi Castle - Ochiai Inn - Ochiai no Ishidatami (4.5 km walking) - Magome-juku

Day 2: Magome-juku-(8km walking)-Tsumago-juku-Minamikiso (end)

(1) Naegi Castle: Climb up the castle wall that makes the most of the natural terrain, including huge stones and cliffs. From the observatory of the castle tower, which stands 170m above the Kiso River, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view.

(2) Ochiai Inn - Ochiai Stone Pavement

The stone pavements of Ochiai-juku, which were said to be one of the most difficult spots, is the best walking spot on the Nakasendo. Some of the stone pavements from those days still remain as valuable historical sites.

(3) Magome-juku

The townscape that runs along the steep slope is full of vitality and makes you feel happy just by being there. It is an inn town full of the atmosphere of Edo, where you can enjoy yourself in a variety of ways.

(4) Tsumago-juku

Tsumago-juku, the first inn in Japan to be designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, is a precious inn site that preserves the Edo Period inns. The scenery surrounded by mountains and the peaceful and emotional townscape stir the traveler's emotions.

If you cancel your reservation, the following cancellation rates and remittance charge will be charged.
(1) 14 days - 3 days prior to the program date: 20 % of the program fee
(2) 2 days of the day before the program date: 50 % of the program fee
(3) a day before the program date: 100 % of the program fee
