WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
About Yukata
The yukata is the Japanese kimono worn in the summer. They are wide sleeved robes worn by both men and women.? Often made of cotton, they are a lot lighter than traditional kimono. Like the kimono, they have a long history in Japan and were originally worn to attend bath houses. Nowadays, they are mostly worn at summer festivals or at traditional Japanese inns.
About the Program
This experience gives you the chance to wear a stylish Japanese yukata, the casual kimono style worn in summer. As part of the program, you will be able to choose from a number of different yukata and obi (yukata belt) styles, colors, and designs. You will be assisted by an expert instructor, who will teach you all the tips and tricks to dress in a yukuta. Afterwards, we will take you on your very own photoshoot! Weather depending, you will have professional-level photos taken at Zojoji Temple, outside Tokyo Tower, or by our traditional gold screen.
