WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Sake is Japan's most famous alcoholic beverage. Known around the world for its unique flavor, it is made by fermenting rice through a complex production process. Though now popular internationally as a stand-alone drink, it has been part of Japanese culture for over a thousand years, and it is deeply ingrained in Japanese religion and tradition.
Our sake tasting session is an introductory program on the culture, history, and cultivation of Japanese sake. During the session, our expert sake sommelier will explain a little about the history of sake, how sake is made, and the different sake varieties available. Through the course of the session, you will also taste 7 different types of sake from our specially chosen collection, trying many of the different varieties of sake available from sparkling sake to sweet sake and sakes for dessert pairings. These are served together with a multi-course meal of complementary Japanese and Western dishes.
